About Lianet
Lianet Santana is a Boricua creator who walks between worlds. As an illustrator and writer, her work is deeply informed by the rhythms of heritage, the strength and resilience of the Puerto Rican people, and the ancestral Taino wisdom of the island.
Her visual art celebrates the colors, symbols, and spirit of Puerto Rican culture, while her writing offers language for feelings many people carry but rarely speak aloud.
Grounded in the principle of hecho con amor, Lianet’s work holds both light and shadow. Her art and words together invite others to feel seen, to honor their own truth, and to remember that even the heaviest emotions deserve a place at the table.
